Sea, Gin-Tonic & Porto Vecchio…

Diary_July 2014_Somewhere at Twilight :
Between a night bowing out and a day that announcing, the boat hoists its sails battling rough seas with a crew that whitens at each new wave but fortunately cute and playful dolphins are waiting for us to guide us on the road of Capraia
A small harbor in procession, fresh seafood and fior di latte/pistachio ice cream.
A Mediterranean Grand Canyon which deserved at least 200 selfie, where locals are not Indians and Cowboys but jellyfish and moray eels courted by sea urchins.
The Doors, flirting with the endless blue of the night, wine and cigarettes, a last minute party at the helm under the stars, a crossing disco night.

Midweek, Palombaggia, 15 years have passed, two little ones and a girl building a sand and palm hut for an amber barbie. A wild wind, risking that every time your open your mouth, hard and white grain sand stuff you in, hitchhiking, because we missed the only bus for the return to town for 2 little min.
After some sunburn, an INCREDIBLE semi-final Brazil/Germany (0-7, we'll see what the final reserve) and a Nutella-Coco crêpe.
A ride in the charming and cheerful citatelle of Porto-Vecchio, full of enchanting small shops and tempting restaurants, port chosen because the initial direction, Calvi and its festival "On the Rocks", was unreachable cause strong Mistral, strength 50 knots, and stormy sea.

A paradisiac bay, crystal clear water, fine sand, seashell and driftwood.
A ideal spot for some improvised happy-hour and confidence, finishing then by dancing at prow on the notes of Sade and Across 110th Street, trying to give rhythm to the little sailor men, all under flood of lemon-rosemary Gin-Tonic and the kiss by the moon to the sun.
What better way to say goodbye to the île de bauté!

Moorings drooped, the weekend, and with it the end of the holidays are imminent, but we have still time to enjoy the last instants on the land of Garibaldi, Caprera, where a delicate after-noon carbonara gives us the right energy to reach the port of Cannigione, where "Mahare" will waiting impatiently for his next adventure.
Fritto Misto, sea bream and a "sea-made" capers sauce, a BORING final match, small craft stalls, house decoration boutiques make us lose our head, worse than if Louboutin are on sale, a last swim, a mini-tiny shell hunt, a dog with dreads, a simple and charismatic little port, where a fresh air and a bit dated, typically Italian, seduces us completely.
